It’s been over a month since our Kickstarter successfully ended with 130% of our goal reached. Let me tell you again how thankful we are that 1435 people have decided to be a part of this adventure. Without your support, we wouldn’t be able to develop this innovative RPG format.
So what has happened since the end of our Kickstarter campaign?
We have been keeping ourselves busy with follow-up activities while at the same time getting some sleep, spending time with our families and working on the game.
Reboot Develop conference
During our Kickstarter we were contacted by potential partners and were asked to meet at the Reboot Develop conference in Dubrovnik in Croatia. It’s a relatively short flight so we made quick travel plans and hopped on a plane.
Apart from talking to gaming legends such as Tim Cain, Chris Avellone or Jonathan Blow, we had promising meetings with several top indie publishers. They are very interested and can’t wait to see the playable version of Sacred Fire.
Andrej talking to Tim Cain at Reboot Develop
We’ve also had talks with a high profile partner that would help to take the world of Sacred Fire to the next level in the long term. I must admit we’re very excited about this.
The team
I was finally able to add a couple of bicycle rides to my Strava account, installed a few Ikea cabinets in our kitchen and found time to play one of my favorite games Banner Saga 2.
Andrej had time to experience and dissect the design of a few relevant narrative games like the text based Rise of Pendragon, or the RPGs Torment: Tides of Numenera and Tyranny.
Next steps in development
We decided to take the most direct route to have a bare bones finished story experience and finalize visuals and polish on top of it. So we are starting to implement the first draft of our script.
And we have now fully transitioned from the post-Kickstarter stage to the full speed ahead phase. Keep your fingers crossed.
We’ll keep you updated.
